Mounting point on Bushwacker

Thread Starter

Just received my new Bushwackers today and wanted to pose a question to anyone who owns them and/or sells them. I know there is the traditional mount with the center of boot lined up with yellow arrow. My question is are there any other methods suggested on the Flipcore series and if so why? Thanks,   Dave

Nope, been mounting them on the line. Works quite well.

Thanks Phil, I kind of figured so but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. As soon as I get the chance I will bring them into my shop and mount them up. BTW the graphics on these are actually pretty cool,  I know alot of people have been commenting not so nicely about them.     Dave

I got myself a pair of Blizzard Bonafide 180 and the new Salomon Guardian binding and need to figure out what the markings on the skis mean.

The marking on the ski has the yellow boot center marking, followed by "9,00mm 4,1mm". What does that mean?

Should I mount the Guardians at boot center? If not, why?

Thanks for your help!

I mounted my 180 Bushwacker a centimeter ahead of center and they skied great. A friend mounted his on the line and wished that he did the same. I will mount my Kabookies the same way. You could put a Marker Schizo on and be able to play with it three centimeters fore and aft.

Thanks Rockskis, really appreciated!

I started looking into the Cambridge Balancer and BoF/CRS, but I just couldn't make sense of the meaurements I got, probably because I should have ignored the ever so slightly rockered tips. I would have ended up with the bindings further back than "stock".

As to the bindings, the Marker alternative to my Salomon Guardians would be the Dukes, and like the Salomons, they are not adjustable unfortunately. It would probably not work that well with the hinge at the toe.

the numbers mean: 4.1mm wide drill bit with 9mm plunge depth.

Thank you! That explains things!
