Liftopia versus resort website lift tickets discount

Thread Starter

I'm heading to Beaver Creek/Vail and will be skiing 3 days on Dec 1,2, & 3.

In Beaver Creeks site they offer 3 day Beaver Creek/Vail ticket package for $216 or $72 a day.

I go on Liftopia every day but no deals are up there for any of the big resorts.

Question is do I buy the $216 package or can I beat that on Liftopia and if so when can I buy on Liftopia?

Thanks,

Email Liftopia and ask if they plan to put anything up. It may just be that it's too early in the season for them to have posted all the upcoming deals.

I don't recall Liftopia offering discounted tickets for Vail Resorts in the past, but I could be mistaken.

Will this be your only trip to Summit County?

Lots of pass options that make $en$e once you get to 7-10 days or so...

I recall seeing Liftopia discounts last year for Key/Abasin, but not for Vail/BC

Vail resorts guarantees the lowest prices when purchased from them.

I'd be surprised if Vail makes the leap into Liftopia.  I haven't seen them in there yet.

Hi guys, thought I'd chime in from Liftopia.

We are still finalizing our list of partners this year and are always working to add more.  I don't details on the Vail portfolio right now, and in the mean time we are working hard to build what would be a valuable partnership.  One point of clarity, however, is that we have worked with Keystone for the past few years.  My guess is Vail will be sticking to their best rate guarantees with regards to advance purchase of apples-to-apples products in different channels, so if there were to be differentiated pricing it would be likely a unique product type.

Sorry I don't have more detail, thanks for your patience!  We'll be doing a new partner announcment in the next few weeks so keep an eye out, and we have some other very exciting news coming out shortly.

In the mean time, we are incredibly excited for the upcoming season and expect our partner list to grow to as many as 200 resorts (last year we had about 120).

Oh, and in case you know anyone, take a look at our current job openings, there will be more announced in the next week or so: http://liftopia.jobscore.com/list

Here's to a great season!
