Hell and Back, Quest 14 or Cochise?

I am replacing my old, stiff race boots this year with something I hope will be a lot more comfortable and still perform well. I moved from the east to Kelowna BC and will be resort skiing at Big White and Revelstoke but I will be starting to do some backcountry hike and ski as well. The three boots I am interested in are the Tecnica Cochise, Salomon Quest 14 and the Nordica Hell and Back Hike Pro. I love way Nordica boots fit me but I can't find much info on this particular model other than it is 100mm and fit a lot like the Fire Arrow. If anyone has some insight on these three boots, especially the Hell and back it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi - If you love the way Nordies fit you, you've answered your own question. Well, except that these will differ in their walk mode (have heard lots of positive feedback on this about the Cochise, nothing one way or the other about the Hell and Back, some negative about the Quest. Which do not fit anything like a typical Sollie, BTW. Get thee to a bootfitter, methinks. You don't want to buy a boot you plan to AT in and realize 5 miles in that you're developing world class blisters, or the walk mode absolutely does not fit with your typical stride. SInce they're already pretty heavy for skinning, no compensation there...

Just to clarify, you love the way Nordica boots fit you or did you try the Hell & Back on and love the way THAT fits you?  With the former point, Nordica makes a multitude of different shape boots, which one did you love? If it is the latter, go for it.

I love the way the Fire Arrows fit and they share the same last. Its just that I am 210lbs and I am concerned that any AT boot will be softer than I can deal with going downhill as I have never used one and I will be doing a lot of lift serviced skiing as well and can't aford two pairs of boots. Also I just can't find much real info on the H & B.

  Cheers

I would think the Hell and back is quite similar to the enforcers (they share the same dimensions).  I would also guess their not quite as stable as the enforcers since there's no metal.  But I have never found the limit with my Enforcers either...

FYI, OP is talking about boots.
