A bit about the development of the Tecnica Cochise

I've had the pleasure of talking to people with Tecnica about the development of their freeride/sidecountry line of boots for this season and am truly impressed by the though and design that has gone into this line up, particularly the Tecnica Cochise, from the shell material, to the Cuff Mobility System, to the Freeride Powerstrap.

Dana, from Storm Day Sales, someone who was involved with this development, describes it well in this blog.

This version of the Cuff Mobility system has a bit better volume and a little clearer in a couple spots, just in case the

one in the blog did not work:

Not many of us will get to make a trip at the right time to see all of this happen so....

Quite a bit goes into boots from their design into a physical object. The molding process is something we all take for granted. This shows a little of what goes on. Then it shows a little of ski production.......... None of their three bulls in sight though.

Technica's back country designs are interesting. We'll see where they take them from here.

When that ^^ video was produced the Freemountain line was still being tested and finalized!!

We actually were walking through the Blizzard factory as the second series of prototypes came out of the press!!

you can actually see it at around the 2:34 mark
