Skied the Rock n Roll at Solitude recently, and they were superb. Effortless ski. I had no preconceptions, just demo'd them after demo'ing the Atomic crimson Ti (which I thought felt very sluggish and boring). The Rock n Roll was an incredibly fun pair of skis, easy turn initiation, great in crud, trees, bumps, cruising. I really forgot all about them and just skied. That doesn't happen very often. I'm pretty surprised they haven't had better magazine reviews. I was very impressed.
Now I'm pretty curious to see how the Inferno compares. Anyone do a same-day comparison?
I didn't have much choice when I demo'd, ended up with 173's because that's all the shop had at the time. Didn't warp on them, but did take them up to pretty decent speeds. They were solid even at this short length.
Noticed they didn't hold very well on ice, but I'm used to racing skis, so perhaps my expectations in that aspect are a little high.
