Volkl SL stock with Marker Comp IBC OK for Masters racing?

Thread Starter

Hi all! I found a pretty cheap deal for Volkl Racetigers SL Stock paired with Marker IBC Comp 16.0 bindings, wondering if it makes sense or should I spend more money for a race plate + Marker Comp EPS?

I used to slalom race a lot when I was a kid, like 25 years ago... and planning to get back to it this year, basically gate training and some Masters racing.

The Marker Comp IBC seems about the same rise height as the combination Marker plate + Comp EPS, so I'm not sure about the advantages / drawbacks of these two options. Any advice?

Thanks!

Bump.  Hoping you'll get your answer.

Yes, they will be fine to get back into it and a bit more forgiving than the full race stock. They will have less upside than the full on version so depending on progress and competitiveness you may want to upgrade after a season

Forgot to say to cjeck that the din range is sufficient for racing. If you do get them, put some extra forward pressure on the heel. An extra turn past flush on the adjustment screw
