Groomers are dangerous!

Check it out... here is some POV showing how dangerous groomers are.  Look at all the people... (and I had to laboriously search just to find this much).  Please watch with volume, or this will not be funny.

Pointless video & disgusting soundtrack.

Not sure what your point is because I stopped paying attention to that other thread long before it was closed, but... that video is a hilarious mix of music and imagery.  Nothing makes you gangster quite like rocking some intermediate groomers.

You better hope you don't cut off or almost run down the wrong guys kids. Pretty disrespectful skiing, and you have a much higher opinion of your skiing than is warranted.

Now, how do we feel about the 'turns' demonstrated therein?

Ooooh, you're a violent one like prickly.  A loose cannon.

Pretty disrespectful skiing

Nothing disrespectful about any of that.  I yielded for the snowmobile, and hit the brakes for families.

I thought it was pretty good.  That song got stuck in my head.

LOLOL....  I wasn't even paying attention to the soundtrack.  What grabbed my attention was how the skier doesn't know how to work a GS ski.

sorry to bump this up one last time Cirque, but to put a last final nail in the coffin, now that it's clear that he can't ski, he is a menace, and he is very disrespectful, who would care what he says or posts.

thanks for the clarification, bored. it validates one's e-hunch how just the way someone says something or the mere shadow image of flipping a ski pole forward ....

Hmmm davluri, what is clear from your posts is that you pose as an intellectual, as a cultured, erudite individual.  And yet you are not.

You try to start insightful thread about "antagonistic and cynical posting," criticize said posts, and yet flagrantly hustle them yourself.

You are very perceptive!  What grabbed my attention in your post was the fact an "exracer" can't recognize a 170 cm 15M ski...

I don't have kids and am not being violent. Just saying there are people out there that would do that if you skied like that around their kids. Dude, you almost ran right in to the kid and then cut off the next one while using them as gates. You have poor judgement and are lacking the control to be skiing like that around others.

You're right, and yet I didn't hit anybody...

And of hours and hours of POV footage, that is the only thing I could find that is remotely concerning.

This wasn't supposed to be an expose of my talent... it is supposed to show that skiing on groomers is not the dangerous game others play it out to be, and that it is no excuse alone to stay off them.

I'm just trying to enjoy myself, just like what you do when you ski wherever you do.  Jeez, you're a mean one.

I found this pretty funny, are you guys really offended by this? Music is rude but totally in context with what I thought was the intent of the post. Nobody's ever wished everyone in front of them would get the hell out of the way? Made me laugh, my bad. Maybe theres rawness from previous interactions I'm not privy to and could care less about.

Very bad language, definitely bad skiing, but only moderately disrespectful.   A troll that can be salvaged temporarily as a point of discussion on perception and etiquette on groomers perhaps?

There was only one point in the video, (the highlighted one) where he skied a little too close to a beginner for his (the subject's, not the beginner's) skill level.  Prior to that point, he should have checked behind him (always do this before slowing down) and slowed down a little to reduce the speed differential between him and the newbie learner crossing his path.  The poor kid probably has a different perspective on how close this incident was.  We could give him some tips on how to carve on groomers, but I think he's skiing fast enough as it is; what would be dangerous is the subject skier skiing at 60 mph on a crowded groomer (or anywhere else for that matter).  That's just my opinion.  I call it as I see it.

hes not skiing anywhere near 60mph, more like 25-30mph.

I think I saw ski roundtop in there.

Agreed.  The point I made above is it may not be a good idea for us to tell him how to ski faster.

You are absolutely right; this isn't a comprehensive POV collection... it is only cropped clips of instances where I came relatively close to other skiers.

There are a few individuals here I listen to on topics pertaining to ski technique.  The opinions of the rest, such as your's, is something I don't care about in the least.  But I'm pretty sure if you think 165 Fischer SC skis are "stable at speed," then I generally ski faster than yourself (because your concept of "speed" is pretty messed up), and I probably shouldn't listen too much to your interpretations of physical phenomena.

FWIW, your editing skills are pretty good, and in spite my moderating responsibilities, made me laugh.

4-complaints in the moderation queue including one by the OP.  this thread struck out.  Sorry, but that is about the fastest strike-out I have seen in a while.
