Wish I could just go to sleep and wake up when winter is here. This waiting is killing me.

I never miss winter when it is gone. I have definitely been able to find plenty of summer and fall activities to keep busy with since moving to UT.  I came for the skiing, but the summer time in the mountains has as much or more to offer IMO. It just feels good to have that brisk cool weather now and I am stoked for  another winter season.

Summer is tough for me, as I really like to surf or ski and summer in N.A. is pretty much not so good for either except for when the occasional South Swell arrives that gives us a bit of decent surf in summer.  Otherwise the best surf is in the winter. That is why I didn't take up skiing until I was 45. Just to much fun surfing down the street from the house.  Way easier and cheaper than the 6+hour drive to Mammoth and having to pay for lodging.  Thing is, I discovered skiing is just so much more fun than surfing, in the respect that surfing is much more fickle based on lack of surf or funky conditions and when it is good, it is everyman and his dog fighting you for a wave. Skiing is way more consistent and relaxed. So ya, I am glad we are just a few months away. It was actually cool enough tonight for me to have my first bit of Scotch to welcome in fall.wink.gif
