It looks like it's supposed to be colder than usual to boot, which makes it even better, because better snow quality!!!  PLUS I love it when everyone else stays home because they're such wimps. BRING IT ON!

Hmmm, looks like San Diego is going to have a nice winter for when I am in town to surfbiggrin.gif  Central CA (Mammoth and Tahoe) appear to have a normal rating, so what is normal, 300-400 incheswink.gif

Powder Wed at Lookout.      Powder Thurs. at Silver.    Heli Skiing Panorama.  Cat Skiing ....................     yep colder and wetter they are a saying.

Guess I will have to go skiing.               IMG_0784.JPG  Here again - well someone has to do the line. The track on the left (looking up hill) are mine.   Let it snow.

Sounds like I picked the perfect year to move to Montana! Went up to the Beartooth Pass on Sunday. It's definitely cooling down already (mid 30s at one of the glacial areas I was running around), and from the view from my house this morning, it appears that the mountains are already accumulating a bit. Getting super stoked! This will be my first season ever of actually living up North and experiencing snow while not on vacation. biggrin.gif

More like 350-450.  Of course, IIRC, that's what they said last year too.  Take with salt.

This will really suck for skiing in NM. I guess I'll have to make a few road trips up North!

I think Kirkwood got 60 feet last season.

Dodge, a bit less @ 50 feet.

I missed about 10 days last season due to too much snowhissyfit.gif Not much you can do after it dumps a foot or two at your house and they can't plow your road until after noon.. Or when the resort is closed while they dig out the lifts.

Geez, I like the idea of good snow, but really don't want a repeat of last year. 14 feet at my house (el 4000'). Started in mid November. Ended late May. Normally we get 3-4 feet over the course of the season. Lost eight trees-mid to large size- within a 100 feet of my house. One of which landed on our travel trailer. Lost power four times for a total of 14 days. Bought a generator in December. One week all I did was shovel-every day, two or three times a day to keep our 12 foot long driveway clear. Plan to buy a snow blower next month.

Please, at my house, not again. It was the worst winter in 40 years.
