What kind of skiing do you intend to do?  Based on your list and for Tahoe skiing, it seems like you mostly want to stick to the groomers?

Yes, I have been sticking to the groomed stuff. I have liked to bomb down the mountain. But, I will be getting more ski days this year and want to broaden my skill set. Looking for a ski that lines up with my past skiing tendencies and will help me become a better all around skier.

Any feedback on what may be the better ski?

Look, you probably need my feedback like a hole in your head, but if you don't put some information in your  profile so that I (we) know something about your skiing, I'll never comment. just saying.

If you're looking to broaden your horizons and go off piste a bit without sacrificing too much on the groomers, for Tahoe I'd probably recommend something in the 84 - 90mm range.  Like the Fischer Watea 84 or the Volkl Kendo or the Kastle MX88 or the Blizzard Bushwacker to name a few, but there are a bunch of options (good skis) to choose from.  The differences will come down to personal preference in terms of flex, rocker or none, etc.

Looking for Tahoe oriented ski's so that looks like a great place start...

Starthaus had a nice pair of 175 Fischer Motive 84 demos w/bindings for about $450.

Phil - if those are still available after the weekend let me know.  I may have a friend who's interested...

Nevermind.  He's going to hold off and demo a bunch once the season starts.

I had a chance to ski the AMP Rictor last year and I really enjoyed them they are a fun ski, slight rocker allows it to do fairly well in soft snow and a little powder for a ski that's only about 80 underfoot if I recall, and the ski really handled everything else on the mountain well, I have very limited experience with the other skis you mentiond but from my experiences on them I don't think you would be unhappy with the rictor
