Retail and Tech Positions at Lou's in Calgary

For the coming season Lou's has several full and part-time positions open for sales, technical and counter staff.  We also can offer to the right candidate a unique position of work at the store while completing an MSc. at the Human Performance Laboratory in Calgary.\

Thanks for posting this Lou.  Looks like a nice opportunity for someone. 

 

Now to prove I'm uninformed, is a MSc a Masters from University of Calgary in the Human Performance Lab?

Yes and No.  The Master's is earned in the discipline your bachelor's is in.  So for instance I have a BSc. in mechanical engineering so my MSc. is in mechanical with specialization in biomechanics.  Someone else might earn the MSc. in Kinesiology.  But all work is done in the Human Performance Lab and here at the store.

So we should talk a little about the project we have in mind although we are open to other ideas.  Currently there are two ways to do medial/lateral alignment.  One is using cants and the other is using Tekscan to measure underboot pressure.  I am not aware of anyone that combines the two.  We would like to find out if they can or should be combined and there are implications for other sports as well such as skating.
