On another board a few years ago TJ - the guy the movie 'Aspen Extreme' was loosely based on -  was writing his story about his time at Aspen. It stopped on page 7, and I cannot find the rest of it online anywhere.

Anyone have an idea where the rest of it might be? Great story...

For those interested here is the link.

You might want to ask the admins on that site. I don't recall any serious discussion of it here on Epic.

Loosely based in his own mind.  He took a lot of artistic license, among other things.

I run an instructor clinic at Mt. Brighton.  So cool to see the area on the big screen!!!!  The place is pretty run down, but there's some nice skiing to be had there!biggrin.gif

Is Mt. Brighton really a 300 foot landfill like they say in the movie?

Mt. Brighton is man made, filled with excess road debris from the construction of I-96 and US-23. There's a pretty challenging golf course there too call the Jackal. The chairs at Mt. Brighton are a little rough IMO.  The chairlift swing in my back yard that I pulled out of the graveyard at the area where I usually ski is in better shape than the ones at Brighton that are 30+ feet off the ground. eek.gif  Love the ski school there though!  The director is awesome and the staff has great comradery!

I know how it is -- I ski in the Midwest a lot.

I remember reading that. It was also published on either TGR or Powdermag (before maggots moved to TGR).
You might inquire in that forum as well.
But I remember that the guy stopped posting claiming that he wasgoing to publish a book based on his life and his editor was advicin him not to post any more stuff untill the book got published...
Pulling legs (or making fun of "gapers"...)
Still a very entertaining reading.
It would be really worht to have it on paper (or ebook, for that matters)
