Maybe. I saw a bike that could help me keep up with you on XC rides. Scott 29er with electric motor.

really cool from a X-training perspective too, some of the footage highlights how MTB can be just like skiing, except in reverse on some points (hips turning into turn actually help on the bike, but with skiing, not so much).
