Flipping through SKI magazine that came in the mail this week and noticed an ad for...

Apparently the Texas suitcase has met its match.

They were really pushing them at SIA this year. I never found it all that difficult to carry skis on one's shoulder.

Haha, wow...im intrigued, who would want to make something that is basically a texas suitcase, which is pretty much an automatic gaper label?

Because the vast vast majority of people skiing (and buying gadgets) don't care what a few hardcore types consider cool? Frankly I never heard the term gaper until I started frequenting this site. Ya can't sell a Texas suitcase, but you can sell this.

The funny thing is, carrying your skis that way seems like it would be a whole lot harder on your hands than putting them on your shoulder.  For the same reason it's easier to carry a heavy bag with a shoulder strap than gripping the handle.

That's why he doesn't want to put his skis up on his shoulder.

And this one lifty chick told him she'd never bang him carrying his skis like that.

Just a way more expensive version of the velcro wrap and sling my little one uses.

Maybe great for kids?

I carry my skis base to base, grip under the toe piece, poles in the other hand. That way when carrying them through crowded spaces, inside, or on a tram I am not braining people left and right.

Personally i think id much rather the gapers carry their skis like this then on their shoulders swingin around smackin peeps with em...ive dodged skis more then a few times cause they carry em completely horizontal instead of slightly vertical..."new and improved texas suitcase...best ski carrier evar gapers!...a must have"
