150° diagonal heel has been Head/Tyrolia/Fischer standard for years on all the bindings from the cheapish LD12 (12DIN) to the metal race bindings like dX10 (20DIN). Then they dropped the diagonal heel on the higher DIN freestyle bindings Peak/Mojo 15, followed by the race bindings, claiming that the new non-diagonal heel (Race Pro heel) was better (its certainly easier to sneak in under the stack height rules ;) ) Looks like they're keeping the diagonal heel on the recreational models then. Personally I like the diagonal heel a lot and have only good experiences of it. Not everyone agrees - some people seemed glad to see it go. One thing it does not offer is pure lateral or rotational release - it doen't move sideways until the heel has lifted somewhat. For that reason it is not considered a cure for 'phantom foot' loads/injuries.
The toes does look new-ish, but as far as I can see its only offered on the lower end 10DIN bindings, so its not clear that its technically any better than the existing LD or Race toes. JSM will almost certainly put down the sliding AFD.
