I am going out for the race, I know Ski-ra is going to be there, anyone else?  I am bringing my Mtn Bike and will get some rides in if anyone else wants to ride.

I of course will be there, but no biking for me since I still haven't bought a new bike after mine was stolen.  But most likely camping on the pass Friday night to watch them climb the next day and run along like a crazy euro, hopefully in some type of ridiculous costume.

Oh hmmmm... turns out I'm gonna be busy on Sunday (the Golden/Denver) day, and I'd love to catch some of this. Put me down as a solid maybe. :)

Betsy and I will be finishing the Deer Creek Challenge Century event with its 12,700 vertical feet of climbing (with some other cycling Bears wink.gif ) on Aug 21st then turning our attention and views to see how the pros can climb and race out here.

It's great to see the big names at altitude again...now if we can only shame the "Tour of Colorado" naming rights away from the current holder...perhaps more people will be able to clearly associate this race with our state.

We'll start cheering the pros in Vail watching the time trial on the 25th going up Vail pass (seeing I-70 used by the teams will be pretty cool).  We'll head up to Steamboat ready to watch the finish of the next days ride from Avon into the Boat.  The 27th we'll watch the race start climbing out of Steamboat over Rabbit Ears Pass then landing on the newly paved and fast hwy 40 blacktop finally finishing out in Breckenridge (many local Bears will be watching that finish).

We'll have our road bikes and plan to do some riding about the boat area (great road rides and views) over the days we are in Steamboat of course then racing back to Denver to see the pros finish it all out.

Really awesome stuff for Road cycling in this region...especially following the Tour of Utah (another great ride showing the climbs).

Looking forward to seeing you Finn and will give you a call soon.
