Bindings size question and mounting question.

i just bought armada arv's in 185cm.  the waist is 95mm.  now i've been looking around for bindings and they are either 90mm or 110mm brakes.  would bending the 90mm brake out be too much?  explain to me please.

also, mounting on manufacturers line should be good right?  i plan to take this ski everywhere.  east coast (which i'm at) to out west.

the recommended mounting line isn't centre.

Some people bend 90mm brakes. However, if you're ordering bindings, just get them in the 110 so you don't have to bend them. No reason to bend them if you don't have to.

As for mounting position, that's entirely based on your preference. Someone else may have more advice there.

At 95 under foot, the 90mm is a better choice. With a little bend and maybe a few minutes with a dremel or sander on the inner tabs of the brake arms, you will will be less likely to snag the brake skiing switch or slow you down on a deep carve or a powder day.

Mount them shiny side up. Center line should do it for you unless there is other criteria you haven't mentioned.

90's won't even need bending. I'm running 110's on a 120 waisted ski without any bending.

This has been my experience, too. And I agree with Phil that the 90s are a better choice so you don't have a bunch of extra brake material to deal with.

+1 on the 90's. A couple of things can happen if the brake sticks out, one is that landing switch can be disastrous if the brake digs in and the other is believe it or not you can catch it and rip your pants. I believe neither of those are desirable.
