Thank gawd yes!  I noticed it this week when driving to work.  And tomorrow morning's long run will start just before sunrise.  Cannot wait for the first snow!

I find out this week or next if I am going to have surgery so I am a little ambivelent about snow right now but I am done with the heat and humidity, still getting in some decent rides and hope to keep that up till I can't.  If I have to go the surgery route then I am on the side lines for a good 6 weeks....

I hope you can escape the knife and rehab, Finny.

thanks me TOO!  Segbrown has been very helpful as well as Iriponsnow with some very good advice. Some Damn fine people here on Epic!  (this is a point that some here don't get, its not just a bulletin board to some of us... a little respect for the community is all we ask)

We had some big thunderstorms last night. I woke up this morning and it smelled like fall 50ish degrees and cool and humid. The summer only lasted for about a month here fo far and it seems like it may already be over...

This first post pretty much sums up my impression of BWPA.  However, he could be way different in real life, but this is about how it comes across on the internet.

AHHH, I love that smell!

All I know is, that date-wise, the non-ski season is now half over.

You can't buy summer stuff in the stores anymore. That always drives me nuts. I needed to replace a cotton hammock in mid-July, and the stores were full of back-to-school stuff already. (In a way it was a good thing, I was forced to order online for a 66% savings)

Context aside (eg, I'm not taking sides), this is my favorite post for a while. I would've added an apostrophe and an "e", but that's just me.

Now, setting aside the, well, creepiness of starting a thread to discuss how others feel about you, I can say that if Bush didn't exist, we'd have to invent him. If I were doing the inventing, I'd chip away a bit at the grammar and all, but hey, whatever.

Love an expert on ski technique that is trying to only get to the bottom 1st. Then says he is not aiming for the perfect turn.

Back in the U.S. after a great Winter/Summer skiing and guiding in the Antipodes. Not much has changed on Epicski, it seems!
OK, I'll play!

My main issue with BWPA is that he is SO Boring....
He has not learned that perpetual self-promotion is tedious beyond belief.
He writes like a slow 8th grader. Bad grammar, worse spelling.

His skiing is very average, he seems physically unimpressive. In one MA I suggested he hit the gym, build some upper body and core strength.
His skiing lacks any joy and excitement, he needs to develop a style, not just copy better skiers.

The scoop at Stowe is that he has found his metier, skiing with his peers....16 year old drop-outs.

He needs to remember that it is better to remain silent, and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove any doubt.
The5th Amendment guarantees us the right to remain silent, it is up to us to be smart enough to exercise that right.
