This may be true but there are many of us who simply can't NOT issue ourselves a challenge. Just because you're not in direct competition with someone else doesn't mean you're not pushing yourself to be better. If you're not, fine... But just because I'm not putting down a blue doesn't mean I'm dick waving for others to marvel at (not that they would, mind you). I view my many physical blessings as a sign that I should be making the most of my time in this condition because sooner or later I'm going to get old and rusty and if my skill set isn't primo by then I'm screwed ;) . Most people I ski with aren't really enjoying themselves unless they're pushing a limit of some kind and going a little outside their comfort level or giving themselves a rush or a scare.
Honestly I could care less where you ski or how you do it. If you're having fun that's all that counts and the same is true of the opposite end of the spectrum- who are you to take issue with anyone else if they want to become the best they can even if they are in direct competition? My gripe with you at this point it mainly that you've taken about five different stances so far... You went from "BW is reckless and should have a disclaimer" to "he sucks" to "who cares how you ski anyways" and on and on... It's like you can't nail down a thought long enough to properly articulate yourself on it and it's getting pretty annoying. You just seem like you're angry, but unsure of why so you just spread it around until some aspect of it sort of sticks in your mind, then as soon as someone points out how rediculous it is you simply move on to the next half assed opinion. Figure out what your real beef is because I sort of agree with the above sentiment but your underlying problem is simply anger and resentment for whatever reason. Bush seems to be taking stock right now so maybe you should too.

Oh sweet baby jeebus. This is what I'm talking about. You're bouncing around from one butthurt topic to another ill-informed half cocked opinion and back again. You're either a troll or an incredibly conflicted individual. Here's how I start almost any ski discussion since my realization that there are literally hordes of people better educated and more skilled than I will ever be on here.
Step 1: Recognize I don't know a damn thing
Step 2: Prepare yourself to hear something that you might not like or agree with
Step 3: Learn shit
Step 4: Rinse, repeat as necessary
Step 5: Get better
To get anywhere here or on any real interwebular site, humility and humor will take you way farther than rage, confusion and stubbornness ever will. Hope that helped, and I'm to trying to be a dick it is just becoming sad to watch you bounce around confused, angry and butthurt when it's not really warranted at all. I rarely step outside my humor box as I come here to dumb things down and just have fun- kinda like when I'm skiing- but figured I'd actaually articulate something to try and explain how you look to the rest of the world and help you out a little. I hope my message is not lost. Good luck out there.
