And here goes, somewhat against my better judgement, but im not doing anything at the moment and im bored...
My one and only (so far) BWPA experience came about a day after joining the forum and making my first post in the (apparantly infamous?) thread on bump skiing. Turns out he disagreed with what i said cause he responded with some fairly inflammatory comments, directed at me personally, implying that i was lacking quite badly in both skiing ability and general intelligence. Not only were his comments way off base, but as some have noted in this thread, he made them in a post that read as if it had been written by a 8 year old kid. Seeing some of his other posts in various topics, he seems pretty evenly divided between;
1 - Bragging about how awesome he is;
2 - Insulting people for disagreeing with his opinion (usually under the guise of 'telling it like it is');
3 - Insulting people for good reason (look out BlueSquare, getting upset over disclaimers for youtube material is probably pretty decent BWPA fodder);
4 - Providing helpful advice to people asking it.
But despite the upside in items 3 and 4, the overall first impression went something along the lines of, "this idiot is a total dick".
And now there's a whole giant thread with most people backing up the Bushwhacker and talking about what an awesome guy he is...
...so i suspect we got off on the wrong foot...
...and most likely wed get along great on the snow.
And thats that, id be interested to hear comments from the population, or even the man himself. Yes, its true, were deep enough into summer that withdrawl has made this ski forum bullshit a satisfactory substitute for actual skiing.
