Utah Spring Break Trip 2012 Snowbird/Alta

I`m thinking of going to Alta/Snowbird from March 16-22 2012. I`m using air miles and i don`t think I'll get the flights i want a month or so before march. So I think I may book the flights now and then the hotel closer to march for a ski and stay deal. Do ski and stay deals normally come up for this time period or should I book the flight later when the deals come up. I`m also looking at Aleska, but I haven`t been to Alta/Snowbird yet so lets keep it there.

Not the best to answer your question, ...but if you want to stay slopeside, certainly the deals will be better in April.  Of course, there could be a slight degradation in snow conditions.  If you stay in a suburban motel then I don't think the price differential is as large for the earlier timeframe.

Maybe this old thread has more info:  http://www.epicski.com/forum/thread/81326/utah-in-april

I want to stay slopeside and the dates are just approximate but not until April just the week of the 11th and 18th. Snowbird or Alta no preference.

I doubt it, that is high season for sure.

I just found a deal from snowbird that applies from December 17 to April 8 for 999$ per person you get ski and stay at cliff lodge for 7 days/nights. Do you think I`ll get a better deal closer to march or should I book the flights now with this deal or wait.

Edit: It also includes airport transfer

Usually you don't get the best discounts nine months out, but maybe for the high season mid-March dates that deal isn't too bad?

Again, I'm not the best to comment, never stayed slopeside at Snowbird and before last January, hadn't been to UT in a long time.  Good luck. You will love it out there.

Thanks for the help but we just booked an amazing deal at whistler for the week. One bedroom condo for 6 nights with skiing included for 1400 for 2 people. I haven`t been to whistler yet so it`s just after the school break in Canada so it won`t be that busy as we are skiing in the week. (The reason I didn`t think of going to whistler sooner was because of the break but hopefully we`ll be flying up and down the lift.)

Thanks Again
