SLC / Wasatch hotel question

Thread Starter

I usually stay in Midvale at the 'Extended Stay' when I go to Salt Lake City - but there is a hotel west of the Wasatch Park-n-Ride that I have driven by a few times. Anyone know what it is called? Also, does anyone know of a hotel with a shuttle to the park-n-ride or shuttle to the slopes? I would appreciate it. I don't want to stay on the mountain and don't want to drive up myself.

Thanks all

Dave

There is a Days Inn in Midvale that I stay at which is right next to the Train station into downtown SLC and is also next to the START of the ski bus line to Snowbird and Alta.  Getting on the bus early in the morning at least guarantees you won't be standing up on the way to the slope.   smile.gif

This Days INN has ski packages available upon request.  It also has a nice bagel breakfast with cream cheese, peanut butter, jelly, coffee, hot chocolate, and juice. in the morning.

A few years back we were able to go from this Days Inn  to the SLC airport via train and bus hauling all our ski gear for less than $1.00 including transfers.   No rental car was needed.

Bonus Points -- There's a Denny's just 50-60 yards away!!

I've stayed at the Midvale Intown Suites, also next to the train station.

You get a kitchenette room (bring own utensils) & internet at a rate much less than the nearby Motel 6

otherwise not much.

Haven't tried the no car/to from SLC airport by TRAX train/bus yet!
