Hi, I'm a female skier trying to decide on a pair of skis for this coming season. I'm 160cm (5'3") and weigh around 55kg (120lbs). I mainly ski in Hakuba, Japan - both groomers and back country.
I've been skiing 156cm Volkl T-rock (119 - 87-111 with radius 23m) with normal bindings that I purchased from a local secondhand ski shop for real cheap for about 3 years now, but I've decided it's about time I upgrade to proper powder skis.
I've got my eyes on a few pairs of skis but here's my wish list:
- Rossignol S110W 2011 - size:166 - side-cut:140-110-118 - radius:14.8m
- K2 MissBehaved 2011 - size:159 or 169 - Dims: 133 - 102 - 127 - radius:14m@159
- K2 GotBack 2011 - size:160 - Dims: 135 - 102- 121 - radius: 18m
- Armada ARVw pr ARV 2011
I've only demoed K2 MissBehaved 2009/2010 model... It was ok, but not my favourite. I've also been on lots of other K2 skis - Hellbent (179), Kung Fujas (179) - you might ask why I was demoing such long skis? well, they just didn't have the sizes for me (apparently I'm just too short) so these guys were a little too big - hellbents specially.
I'd love to get some feed back on Rossignol S110W. I've been reading a bit about it but I'm getting failry mixed messages. It's listed as 100% powder but there are people who says they're not, sounds like they're little heavy? I need a pair that suits pretty much any conditions - seeing as our snow really depends on the season!
Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated :)
