Trying to choose which skis to buy...

Hi, I am 185 cm, 80 kg, and I want to buy a Volkl Bridge. I am from Europe, and I found a pair of these skis at the price of 250 euros at sale,new,2011, which is half of the usual price for that ski in my area. The problem is that I don't know if they are not too short for me. I usually ski on hard snow, I am used with stiff skis, I am a very good alpine skier, but I started to go off piste and in park, where I am a beginner. I want a ski that is good for all, and also good at high speed on hard snow. The volkl is 179 cm. Is it ok for me, because it sounds very attractive at this price...?

Thank you for your advice. I thought of somenthing longer for greater stability on piste at high speed. In one month I go shopping. If I cannot find anything longer at good price, I will go for the Volkl Bridge 179. I am looking for an all mountain ski with good versatility and good performance at high speed on piste. I also found Armada ARV and Line Blend but I do not know if they are still available at the shop. My ski boots are Nordica Ace of Spades. They are new. Until now, I only used Race ski boots from Lange.

Trying to choose which skis to buy...

Hello,

I need help with choosing skis, pretty quick. I usually ski on piste, on hard snow, but I started also in park and in pow and I need a twin tip. I was looking for a versatile ski, and I can't decide between Volkl bridge 179, and Line blend 183. I am looking for a ski that does well at high speed on piste, and also in pow and park. My high is 185 cm. Looking forward for some advice, cause I need to buy one of these quick.

@Tamaian - you don't need to post your question in every single thread where people are asking about specific skis - your own thread will suffice.

Here the Bentchettler is popular among charging skiers. You'll be able to do anything you want to do at the aggressive end of the spectrum with them or similar skis. The Katana is just more of what you have, basically.

OP, best powder skis I have ever rode were made by Praxis or PM Gear.  Phil on this forum may have some of the Praxis RX's left in a 189.  I used PM Gear 196 Lhasa Pows last season and have definitely drank the kool aid on that ski.  Check the websites at:  http://www.praxisskis.com and http://www.pmgear.com/

Tamian, please do not post the same question in multiple threads.  I have consolidated your posts here.
