And it still looks like mid-winter in many places...except for all the closed lifts.

4ster, if you weren't such a nice guy I think I would have to hate you!  Could you just please tell us how miserable you really are because it would really make all of us working stiffs sitting at our desks feel better.

Great pics, by the way.

Well first of all, I would never post the miserable stuff...  That wouldn't be any fun wink.gif.

Let's see,  It was too warm and windy this morning to ski, & then it started snowing again so riding the bike was out (oh, & I got a flat yesterday).  When the snow let up I decided to go for a run, but my knees & old back really don't like that too much.  About a 1/2 hour down the trail, it started dumping snow again so by the time I got home I was soaked.  The bone spur on my right foot has been so sore for the last month I can hardly get my boot on, let alone make a right footed traverse for very long.  Now I am sitting waiting for a guy to show up for a 2:30 appointment & it is 3:15.

Gas is $4.00 a gallon & the dow is down 280.

Feeling any better?

Thunderstorms and very cold air on my side of the mountains today means there will be another generous helping of powder for the hikers tomorrow.

You had me feeling a lot better until you got to the part about the Dowfrown.gif.  Glad to see that you are having a great spring.

I don't think you missed much today.  It got gray really fast & although the snow skied nicely, it was NOT the light snow that was had yesterday.

The picture above is the ridge to the NE (lookers right) of Steven's peak.  Here is a picture looking up the same bowl from last spring, on a sunnier day.

I think I was grandfathered in a few years ago.  I have heard the term "emeritus" mentioned, but I don't speak Latin th_dunno-1[1].gif .

Today I was heading to the bowls of Round Top again, but the overcast skies & questionable snow made me loop around to Elephant's Back.  In hindsight, I wish I had done more as the snow skied pretty well.

I am posting more pictures in this thread:
