SOLD: FS: Dynastar Huge Trouble big mountain skis (185cm, 115mm underfoot)

Selling one of my favorite skis: Dynastar Huge Trouble (also known as Six Sense Huge).  185 cm, the only length it was made, 115 mm underfoot, straight sidecut, stiff tip, softer tail, you know what this ski is like.  Blasts anything in its way with confidence, but is surprisingly good in powder and trees for its width, girth, and sidecut.  Absolutely no speed limit whatsoever.  (I believe this is the ski that Fred Syversen was skiing when he took his 100+ m cliff flight, so it is a pro level ski).  I also think that it is one of the cooler-looking skis.   Skied for a season and a half on powder days only, so the bases are in great condition.  Topsheet is in very good condition, the only blemish is that left ski tail has a little bit of topsheet chipped off at the very end, but that is purely cosmetic.   Edges are hand-tuned to 2/1.  The bases were never grounded, because they looked quite good and that was a powder day ski.

Mounted with Look PX14 (Rossi-branded Axial140) for BSL 315mm.  The binding is white, matches the ski well, and PX14 is burly enough for everyone.

Asking $450 with the bindings, $295 without the bindings.  Will ship USPS at cost or local pickup in the Bay Area.

Ski still available.  Awesome charger for a big western mountain and a surprisingly good powder ski. Plus, the graphics is SHARP.  I will put on a hand-tune for you for free.

These have been described as fat all mountain skis, do you think there is a similarity to the bone?

Not really.  First of all, Bones are 98mm , Huges are 115, this is just a different target conditions.  In my view the Huge is the best non-rocker fat ski ever made (or one of the best).  I actually found them to be very very good in powder, and the more cut-up the powder gets, the more those skis like it.  There is probably no other ski like Huge that I know.  My explanation is that they have a very unique and effective flex pattern- softer narrower tail and stiffer fat shovel- so in good powder, the tail sinks in just a bit to give that extra lift in front.   Stiff front also makes it a great crudbuster.  Bones are evenly flexing, narrower, and feel like a slicer.

Hey man, wondering if these are AT bindings or not...sorry I'm a newb but I can't find out via a general search.

PX14 is not an AT binder. And you wouldn't really want to tour much on these anyway. They are ~11lb a pair.

No, those are not AT bindings, these are pretty burly 14-DIN clamps.  Yeah, these are not your featherweight touring skis, these are chargers.  Of course you can put a touring binding on it, or just use Trekkers with them, lug the weight up and be rewarded on the way down.  But, tromano is right, they are better suited for charging the resort or touring the backcountry with a helicopter.smile.gif
