Volkl Bridge 2011 vs Line Chronic Cryptonite 2010

Thread Starter

Hey,

I want an all mountain ski that I can take into the powder, go fast on the groomers and hit some jumps with

I have been offered a pair of new Volkl Bridge's (2011) and also some Line Chronic Cryptonites (2010) at a considerably cheaper price

I have heard things about the Bridge's that the edges slip sometimes when on steep/fast runs

Im 73kg and about 163cm tall

has anyone got either of these ski's that can tell me bit about them?

Thanks

I have the new 2011 Bridge with ELP rocker and new dimensions. I have marker Baron's mounted on them.

This Ski is a BEAST. I have dropped 20 foots cliffs, hit 30 foot tables, shredded the trees, and bombed the groomers. My top speed clocked on my GpsSpeedo program was 75mph this season on one of the steepest runs in Ca.

I am 5'11" and weigh 195pounds. I Got these in a 179.

I could not be happier... Of course in deep deep snow, i could've used something a little bit wider, but to be honest. There were days with 6-8 feet of new snow and they finally opened up a part of the mountain. First tracks were no problem.

They were stable at speed, float great, Are quick to turn in the trees. They were also great throwing 3's in the park or the side country. The ELP rocker had enough pop and never caught on anything.

I would give these ski's 5 of 5 stars if there was a rating system on the sight!!

As you can see with the link below. Freeskier agrees with me.
