E-mail campaign to Continental Airlines to change shipping policy

I sent an e-mail to Continental yesterday to ask for a change in their policy regarding shipping bicycles after Frontier changed theirs. If you could please send a quick note asking for them to change their policy. I stated that Frontier had changed their policy and that a bike is no larger than a golf club bag or a bag of 2 pair of ski's.

Finndog,

Exactly what change did Frontier make to their policy?  I wish Delta would too.  We flew a bunch of kids to Sea Otter last month and it set us back a pretty penny at $200 each way for their bikes.

they dropped the oversize surcharge. They are now handled like skis or golf clubs which is as they should be.  With more folsk traveling with bikes now, I would think this is a smart move to get more summer travelers to their airline.

Continental Airlines?  Do they still exist?

I hope so, I have 20K miles on them so far this year and 2 flights pending......

continental and united merged end of last year but operate as 2 separate airlines for now. In the future, it will just go by United..... unfortunately,, United is not continental.

I know.  I was kidding because soon enough, Continental is gone.  Planes are already being painted the other way round.
