Yes, thank you!! I would've have ventured off to shirley lake area if you guys didn't tell me about it here. Squaw doesn't have the trail map like other resort where the runs are designated blue/black etc, so it's better to be skiing with someone who are familiar with the area or ask before I get on any lift. Ask someone i trust, that is.
I saw this poor girl that fell 15 times at Gold Coast Funitel before she can get to the Gold coast express lift, and ask a man whether it is a green run and for beginner, and the man said yes.....
I was also at Northstar once when this girl took a guy up to comstock via arrow and comstock lift, and attempt to teach him how to snowboard from there... i wonder how he got down the mountain...
I'm going to try some the easier blacks at northstar, then perhaps towards the end of season, go back to squaw and try the more challenging runs!!
Or even xmas, when my pass is black out at northstar, I can go back to squaw. I really like how wide this place is, it's like a big bowl! But when i was on mountain run taking the time square route down, it was a sheet of ice with ice cubes all over it, not ridable IMO...... if it's chopped up snow, I can deal with it (i am learning how to deal with it), but sheet of ice, no thanks. :)
