Mammoth Mountain Skiing in June???

Hearing that mammoth is opened to July 4th . I was wondering how is skiing in Late June. Condition wise is whole mountain open or is only a bit of it open.

Thanks,

I have never skied Mammoth this late, but would doubt the whole mountain would be open (even if they had enough snow) as the crowds, particularly mid-week, would not justify it.

Here is CO, we have a lot of snow, but Copper has already closed Reso, A and the backside lifts while Breck has closed Peak 10- even with fewer lifts, there are no lines and skier density is really low considering how good the snow was today.

After this weekend (April 24th), only the Main Lodge will be open.  The Bike Park (well, some of it) is supposed to open by June 18th, so you may end up with this situation again this year:

Usually the Gondi and chairs 1 & 23 are open.   You can check the trail map to see if that will meet your needs.

Just got back from Mammoth and they still have a lot of snow. May and June the skiing should be good in the mornings through 1pm or so when most of the runs are pretty slushy. They usually run chairs 1, 2, 3, and the gondola to the top, which should give you plenty of terrain. The steep runs are the best skiing.
