Hey guys, i know there are a million posts about Jackson Hole but in the ones i read i could not find the information i was after.

I recently just returned to Australia after spending 4 months on a working holliday in Fernie, BC and i had the time of my life. Already started thinking about next years trip and Jackson Hole has caught my eye. Mainly because of the average 450 inches of snow a year, and from what i have read the terrain is incredible. What i cant find is much information about the town itself.

Basically because the wages are a lot better in Aus i was thinking of working here untill around the 20th of december then going over and just ski/party for the rest of dec/jan/feb. So i was wondering what the cost of living in the town was like. In fernie rent basically ranged from $350-500 a month. It was pretty good in Fernie because people were comming and going all the time. What sort of chances are there of myself and a friend comming over before christmas and finding a lease to sign from the start of Janurary or by that stage is accomodation rather scarce?

Also was interested in the Apres side of thing. Skiing is my main priority however even though Fernie was a small town, Monday night was dnb/dubstep night where by basically half the people working on the hill went out and just cut loose for a night of epic messyness. keep in mind im turning 21 in June right so whilst im happy to have a quiet beer after a sick powder day, When i do want a big one it is generally very big. Although this wont be most weeks by any means its just good to have the opportunity if you want it.

Any help is much appreciated

Ohhh and i noticed that lift passes are rather exy.... like 1500 for a season. Due to the fact that its April they dont have prices posted for next year so does anyone know how much the early bird passes go for roughly?

Cheers
