I skied in an old pair of Dalbello Avanti V-12 Pro Customs this season (with an aftermarket liner) and liked them. They aren't likely to hold up to much more than one more season, though, so I'm starting to think about replacing them. My problem is that I don't really know how stiff they are. They rated at 15-17 on the original scale and as I have the slider on the stiff setting, I assume they're closer to 17 (though they may have softened a bit over time).
I'd like to focus on boots in a similar stiffness range for my next pair but am not sure how stiff these are on the current scale. 110-120 I'd guess? I've flexed a few other boots while not on the hill, but I don't put too much faith in that.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks a lot!
Edit: After starting this, I found a thread asking similar questions about the V 10, to which no one would venture a guess do to variance in flex position, changes due to temperature, etc. so it might not even be a reasonable question to ask. If so, sorry about that.
