I just ordered a pair of skis with race plate for my son for next year. He just turned 6 years old, but his 100's are going to be too short..they already are because he is pretty tall. I have a pair of 120s that I measured up to him and they go to the middle of his forehead now..he grows like a weed, though, so by next season, they should be just right. He has been on the Jr. Development team for 2 years and skis really well. THe question is, can I move the binding from the 120's I have now to the new skis? He only weighs 53 lbs, so the right binding would still be the tyrolia/head sl 45. I HAVE those bindings. The skis that I ordered have the race plate on them, so I won't have to do any drilling…just the standard screw mount. I guess the question is, do I really need to buy NEW bindings or can I just re-use the ones I have? Thanks!!! Just trying to save a few bucks…three rapidly growing skiers is getting expensive!
