Webcams in springtime

Some areas have webcams you can visit to see the condition of the slopes.
Bare patches have appeared and are growing at Hunter.
If you might want to go somewhere, see if they have a webcam, and which slopes it shows.

Webcams? Springtime? We have neither.

141" base? Pffft. We've got 274" and another 18" forecast by tomorrow.

Yes but you guys sometimes have to shoot a bear in the parking lot to make it to the lift alive.

We just make sure the bear is not barking and only then we shoot it biggrin.gif

Baker doesn't exist within the realm of reality.

On the last day at Hunter I sat home and watched the webcams, while blogging, from 3:55 until I saw the patrollers come down, searching the trees on both sides of the slopes for strays.
It was a good season. 29 days at Hunter, and 1 wasted at Okemo (but the people were so nice there)

I checked out the Aspen Gondola cam this morning.  Not a soul to be seen in the mall area....except 2 guys with their skis  The mountain has been closed for 2 weeks. They walked up to the end of the run, slipped on their skins and started hiking up.  Looked like they were going to take advantage of the powder from the last 3 days.  I would like to meet these guys and tell them how much I admire their passion for skiing.   Hard to believe a mountain closes with 80" of base still left (Highlands closed this past weekend with over 100") with more snow on the way this week!

Hey SHREDHEAD was that you or Lloyd hiking up?
