Replace Brake Arms

My wife has Atomic R:10 skis with CR:310 bindings.

The brakes do a horrendous job of keeping the skis together even with straps on the tips and tails.

Does anyone know if you can replace the brakes with this years style brakes?

The new Neox bindings come with brake arms that do an awesome job of keeping the skis together.

Is it hard to replace them on my own?

Scalce,
That is what ski straps are for!

I know but I am so anal about the skis because I tune them. I hate seeing skis scissor.

My wife usually straps them but then the stupid brakes release from each other and spread the skis apart which makes the straps looser. This causes some movement and slight scissoring especially when she is carrying them.

Also where the hell can I get wide enough straps for the new Atomic Metrons?

Have you tried the 4-strap trick yet?

I actually do have two Atomic race straps attached to each other on the tips.

I just don't wanna futz with it everytime I take it out of my jacket.

I have some awesome Volkl straps that have a hard plastic pulltab that works even with gloves on.

I wish they all had tabs.

Scalce:

Tognar Toolworks / Wax Tools

All the way at the bottom of the page:
Padded ski straps for up to 145mm skis

I use these and they work great for my WC SC's with 123mm shovels. If the breaks are letting the skis slide, try putting another strap right in front or behind the binding/plate so the skis can't slide forward or backward.

But I can tell what you really want are those full length base protectors on the same page ...I'll bet they'll fill your pockets though!

I just got some stuff from there too.

I must have missed those.

Thanks for the link.
