2009-10 Look PX Racing 15 Freeride Ski Binding question

post #1 of 6
Thread Starter

So I recently got a pair of what were labeled and described as Look PX 15 Freeride bindings for my new Ski Logik Howitzers.  Upon arrival, it turned out that they were actually Look PX 15 Racing bindings... I don't want racing bindings.

I got them for $140, which is a crazy good deal for Look bindings, and I certainly want to give my Howitzers a setup that can match the ski, so I guess my question is;

Does anybody know anything about the Look PX 15 Racing Bindings in terms of an all mountain/freeride binding?  Should I return them and get something else (PX 12, Pivots, Marker Jesters, etc etc), or will these actually be really awesome bindings for these skis, despite the racing label?

The race series might be heavier than the free ride but either are great bindings.

the only difference between the PX15's will be color/graphic, the binding is the same. The PX15 is a kick-ass binding.

Both binding are the same thing.  I believe the race version was all black, while the "free ride" had some clear-ish plastic?  I laughed when I saw some in our outlet center.  They were called Look PX15 Race Binding but came with factory 110mm brakes, no race ski is that fat.

Ditto on the above comments.  Great binding. They are not the lightest, but they work and are dependable.   Keep em.
