The video, for all the intense effort, falls into the somewhat lame category. It's kind of cool, but not really. It's the type of skiing presentation you might see on a razor commercial. Like the lights on the snow are cool, but why are there two lanes which then he skis over the middle ones? They cut so quickly from the actual turns, but I suspect that those skis are too short, and/or the split tail doesn't offer enough support in the end of the turn in the <6 inches of powder. It seems as if there is a slight loss of balance at the bottom of the turn.
So far, it's only been watched 295 times?
You certainly don't need those skis to make those turns. I wonder what, if anything they provide in terms of feel/feedback to make them even remotely appealing. If you spend a lot on a car, at least it looks good, the interior is nice etc. Once you head down the hill on these who cares?
Sorry, but your logic is totally flawed, there is ABSOLUTLEY no more justification for buying an expensive car then there is buying these skis, neither one is a better investment, they are both unnecessary for basic transportation. Why buy a Porche? Because you will actually use the performance, or just to look cool ? If some of the detractors were totally honest they would admit probably both. Anyone badmouthing someones decision to buy these skis basically has no agrument if they ever spent a dime on a luxury item.
pbr, (is that for Pabst Blue Ribbon?), you're all over the place here.
I get the luxury goods thing.
There's a huge difference in buying a luxury car and 7k$ skis.
The skis, for one thing, won't get you priority parking at fancy restaurants. Even functionally, expensive cars do things others don't. Yeah, you can go from a to b with a diesel Rabbit, but there's a bit of a difference. The skis on the other hand, are no better than...take your pick, a Stockli, a Kastle, hell get a Wagner.
So then they go into the luxury accesories category, like a 3k$ handbag. Ok, but then you have to ski on them, and other skis quite frankly are probably better, not just carry it around and look good.

^^Well that's silly, but that's just me. You're giving up already?
Sheesh...what we need here is a $50,000 helmet, then we have the best of both types of threads...
How about, something to go on a $15 - 20 million skull?
Asking price was more like $100million.
