How to set/adjust forward pressure on Atomic XTO 12's...

Hi,

Just purchased a set of Atomic Smoke Ti with XTO 12 bindings, and everything looks very straight forward except I can't figure out how to set the forward pressure. There is a V notch with 3 lines underneath and while the boot is clicked in the V should be aligned with the the middle of the 3 lines, but mine stays well forward about 1/2 inch.

Any help/input is appreciated. Thank you.

That's a binding that moves on a rail with numbers for boot sole length (looked like that in the pictures I found on the net)? If it is, you just adjust it to different BSL to get the forward pressure right. Both my Stöcklis with Salomon Smartrak bindings and my friend's Atomics with whatever binding need to be adjusted to slightly different length than the actual BSL.

Skise,

I know that part but I can't figure out how to align the little "V" withing the 3 vertical lines, it doesn't move at all when the heel is closed. See pic from Atomic Tech Manual...take a look at picture 9...mine stays like the "NO" picture.

I think you just adjust the pressure by changing the BSL.  Change it a little, click in the boots and see where the v ends up.  If it is wrong, take the boot out, adjust again, put the boot back.  The numbers are just a starting guess.
