WTB: GS and SL skis for J4 skier

Hi!

 

I am looking for a pair of GS ansd SL skis with bindings for my son to use next year as a J4 racer.

 

He is about 5 ft and 120 lb's . The lengths I am thinking are around 140-145 SL and 150-160 GS. Also interested in some boots.

I live in Westchester County just outside NYC. I would lean towards used. There are budget concerns. What do you have?

I've got nothing, but I know two shops (one in Rochester and one in Syracuse) that both have a solid supply of kids gear that is on big time sale.

Are you still looking for something on this?  I have 2 pairs of Atomics, one SL and one GS, that my son used for his last year of J4 racing.  They were not used for the entire year so they are in relatively new shape.  I don't have the specs with me offhand though -- have to get to the garage to see and won't be there for a couple of weeks.  I live in NYC though and could bring them back.

Contact Jim Myrick at Skiers Edge in Maine... He just took in 75 pairs of used Volkl race skis and I am sure he could help you out. He is very good at what he does and knows his stuff!
