Squaw Hotels

Thread Starter

I usually ski Heavenly and stay in the many cheap, average hotels.

I am thinking of skiing Squaw in a few weeks.

Does anyone have any suggestions on cheap, clean places to stay around squaw.  (I will be coming from the Bay Area)

thanks

The locals like to mess with the tourists by telling them not to park underground but on the street, problem is the street is posted no parking for snow removal...guess what the fine is? personally I wish I had had my valve stem removal tool with me.

The tourists don't need any help getting messed with, they screw up fine all by themselves.

It's been a couple of years, but I was very impressed with the Mother Nature Inn in Tahoe City. You check in at an antique place on the main street and it's just behind it, next to Pete & Peters.  It was really clean and they seem to take pride in the place.

I haven't had much luck at the Americas Best Inn/Best Western. Every time I've stayed there, something grossed me out.

Granlibakken - just south of Tahoe City.

Nice rooms for a reasonable price, including a wonderful breakfast.

Enjoy,     rickp
