Part 3 - the fast way to the otherside

thursday me and Erik wanted to ski some more powder with anything on the exposures we use to ski sun baked to into a manky horrid crust, we decided to go find some lifts that face north.

The fast way to the otherside starts with riding sensation quad

Here's the video Josh promised. POV footage is filmed by Josh, who's in the yellow jacket, skiing on the Blizzard Bushwacker. I'm the one in green, skiing on the Icelantic Pilgrim.

Lots of organic and inorganic matter in that video.  Seems like you need a full face helmet!

Full face helmets are for male models from 'StronGuh Island', up here we grow some facial hair for the winter and deal with a few scrapes like real men... and women.

Keep your jacket zipped up, keep your chin tucked in and learn to cross block.

along those lines yesterday I was skiing some woods and got a small sapling whip that had a broken top about 1/2" diameter wide caught in my helmet between the ear flap and my neck. Felt like someone slapping me across my ear. That was a new one for me. I have sticks stuck in my bindings, or in my jacket arm holes but never up in the helmet, guess I have to adjust my line a bit.
