I am researching for our family ski trip in April 2012. My daughter will be 11 then. She has mild cerebral palsy and has skied once before, this past January, at Ski Santa Fe. We did not know about adaptive sports and placed her in the regular ski school. She did okay but got frustrated easily and I think the instructors, while kind and patient, had a hard time with her. The next day they called the adaptive ski folks to work with her and it was a great experience. They were so patient and sweet with her and made her feel really good about herself. I love that they focused on what she could do and kept her mind off how much better the other kids were doing in the ski school.
So for this trip next year, we will be looking for a resort that has adaptive skiing. We have 3 other children that will be in ski school, so I was looking for the most affordable programs.
Eagle Mount in MT will be about $120/day for about 4 hours of lessons, lift and rentals. Are there any others in this price range?
Thanks for any help.
