Marker Turntable Long Thong/Long Lanyard

Looking for a pair of circa 1967 Marker Turntable bindings also known as Marker Drehteller bindings. The model with the push-down lever on the outside side of the binding, also known as Marker Long Lanyards or Long Thongs, depending on where you skied.  Not to be confused with the RotoMat LS which had the dual spring cable, or the Telemat LS.  I'm putting back together my racing gear from those days. It's a nostalgia thing.  I have the Fischer Alu RS skis, Look Nevada toes and my original Molitors. Just need the Marker Turntables and a white Simplex crash helmet!.

Also does anyone have the actual length for Long Lanyard that came with them. I think I remember mine were 122 cm/48" , but not positive, It's been a while.  Anyone that has that info it would be greatly appreciated.Cindy Pic.jpeg

Coming around again. I'm still looking!

48" sounds about right for an opening length for long thongs; and then they got wet and STRETCHED, a lot.

Will you ski those when the package gets put together?

Hey,

I'm looking for a pair also.  If I can find 2 sets I'll give you a call or maybe you could do the same.  I'm going to use mine with a Nevada 1 toe.

Not sure what Billy Kidd is showing us, but it looks similar.  It's a giveaway from last season (Feb 2013) at Steamboat.  I don't know what the skis are either.

Those look like Dynamics with LOOK Nevada bindings. The basic design is still in use.  Some put those Dynamic stickers on the skis.   BTW, with the Marker toe piece, you had to notch the toe of the boot to make it set right.

I bought some used boots in the early 70's at a swap that had those notches. So that's what they were for.

Yeah, you put the boot in the binding (leather or plastic) and noted where the points of the binding hit the boot (it left a mark).  Then you took a mill file or something similar and made the notches.  I had the explodomat heels, but always through the long thongs looked better.

Yup, they were leather. Wish I still had them, actually.

Also with the Nevada 1 toe you had to notch the toes.  I'm doing that now with on old pair.  Nevada 1 with Marker Long Thong Turntable.
