WTB Alpine Trekkers

I've read through threads here, and I know they are sub-optimal, but I'm looking for a cheap/easy way to get some experience skinning end of this season. Low risk stuff - up groomed slopes end of day at ski areas ( not JH, natch! ;-).

If you have a pair gathering dust you'd consider parting with please PM me. Thx.

Not sure if you are looking for new or a used 'steal of a deal'....

Saw a store here locally that carried them new for about $130 on Spring Sale.

Pretty sure you could get the sale price (25 or 30% off) if you called in.

Yes, looking for a steal.  ;-)

Thx for the pointer, but that's more than I want to pay. Used is fine as long as they're in good working condition. Scuffs/scrapes are of no concern.

I've got a pair I'll sell for $75.  Barely used.  I've kept them around for guests who might want to join me on backcountry days.

I recently found a barely used pair on Craigslist for $60, so I'm set, thx.

I have used them several times to skin up groomed slopes at Breck and Vail after they both closed for the season, and they've worked great, no problems. I did have the opportunity to skin up one day on some equipment borrowed from a friend, (Coombas with Fritschis), and I didn't notice that much of a difference. I like that you can use the Trekkers with whatever skis you want, and then you're skiing down on your regular alpine setup.

Highly recommend the Trekkers for getting into the skinning game.
