Someplace in the White Mountains?
I've got a few weeks left to check these places out, and grab any kind of season pass discount they offer for next year. I may get a share in a ski house, too, so I can stay over.
The concensus is that Jay Peak gets the most snow, while the other northern Green Mountains resorts (Killington, Sugarbush, Bolton Valley, Stowe, Smuggler's Notch) all get better snow than anywhere in the Adirondacks, southern Vermont or the White Mountains. Burke Mountain, a mid-sized resort in Northeastern Vt, also is known for good snow and lack of crowds. In New Hampshire, Bretton Woods is the only resort known for superior snow, but it's also known for lack of expert trails.
