Help adjusting toe piece on Salomon C608 bindings

Hi everyone, I got a pair used skis with C608 bindings, and the heel is easy to adjust with the lever on the back.  But I  can't figure out how to move the toe piece.  I see two screws which I removed but it doesn't budge. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I am assuming you would like to remove the toe piece to remount it?  If so, removing the back two screws is the first step then slide the toe piece toward the tail of ski, you may have to tap it a bit.  This will expose the front  screw which you can remove by keeping the toe piece engaged on rail to keep the rail from spinning.

If you are thinking the toe piece is adjustable?  It is not if it is a retail version.  If it were a rental version there would be an adjustable track with colored marks and numbers or letters on track.

Oh, and if it does need remounted I would strongly urge you to take them to a shop who has the proper jig and bits and knowledge to do it correctly.

Good luck!

The toe doesnt adjust.  You move the back to suit.  If it is not enough, you need to re-drill.

Thanks for the reply.  I'm trying to adjust the toe piece to use a bigger sized boot.  I do see different colored size categories, 260-279, 280-295. I guess it's the rental version? I'd like to slide it further forward, do I need to remove those screws and push or is a lever or clip I need to push?

No you need to pull it off the ski, plug the holes and remount it.  It is not a rental toe piece and therefore has only one position.

Got it! There was a lever on the front of the toe I needed to slide sideways, then the toe glided forward to the red colored 320-335 range.  Thanks Bud for your original inspiration.  All that time wasted on taking screws out.

Now I'd like to find some help checking forward pressure.  I've been reading about an indicator or a window on the side of the ski, but I don't see anything.  Can anyone tutor me on that? Thanks

My bad, I thought you typed "didn't see" rather than "did".    Forward pressure, then release value, then torque test.

Thanks.  Any tips on forward pressure? And can you explain release valve?
