need some buying advice

Hello everybody,

I'm a Dutch skier looking to buy his first set of skis, I'm 19 years old and started when I was about 2 or 3 years old if what my parents tell me is true. I've always rented skis but recently my attention has been going out to freestyle skiing and I want to get my own pair so I can practice in an indoor ski hall close to my house. However, since there are no mountains in holland whatsoever, getting a hold of twintips and freestyle boots might be a bit tricky, so i'll probably have to order them online. Although I am afraid I'll get something that won't fit or w/e. So I was hoping you guys could help me out a little bit.

I am about 1.78m tall
I weight 70kg

So far my interest has gone out to
K2 press ski
Marker M 11.0 Twin Cam Free Bindings
Dalbello Sports Krypton IL Moro I.D boots

Is this a good setup to start out with, please let me know what you think

ps:I could also use some additional info about boot sizes, my normal shoe size is 42.5 (9 in US, 8 in UK, 27cm)

kind regards,

Stenfert

come to think of it I'd also like to know a bitmore about poles, is there a specific skipole for every skistyle? just like you have racepoles, if yes what kind of poles should i get with freestyle and how long should they be?

could really use some help with all this ^^.

K so went to a local shop today, going back tomorrow and probably buying the K2 Iron Maiden with Marker Griffen bindings together with Nordica Double Six boots, weird things is the boots were green/purple like je dead money ski color scheme and I can't find it in that color scheme anywhere online.

If you have some feedback let me know, I was recommended the 1.79m size so thats pretty much my length, is this the right size

cheers

The green/purple won't match your boxers, select a different boot.

yeah i understand your point on the boots not looking to good with the ski's, fact is there isn't much else left in the store in my size, like i said freestyle skiing isn't very popular in the Netherlands and appearantly most of the boots are sold out, pretty excited about the Iron Maidens tho, limited edition and everything and it's for an oke price aswell,

anyway if you could give me some examples of other boots I might try to get a hold of them in another way.

I sorta forget the color scheme on the Iron Maidens but isn't it pretty dark with maybe black or dark gray as the main color? I'm thinking the Salomon Shogun might look pretty good. It's black and white and would blend in with most anything. Keep in mind that you can maybe get a different binding that will maybe set off the color choice or throw in another color you need to complete the look.

I'll check if i can get my hands on a shogun somewhere thanks =D. Not gonna change the bindings tho, i get good ones together with the Iron Maiden. Anyway I have no idea what kind of ski poles I should get, Are there any park specific ski poles or?
