It's set in St. Anton I think. Would be worth it just to see the area.
'Chalet girl' or something like that? Has anyone seen it?
Here you go. It looks great.
Mainstream films dedicated to the relatively small world of skiing are rare, but the movie industry has been busy in the Austrian Alps creating a star-studded feature called Chalet Girl. It premieres in London next week and, when I was invited to a preview in Soho, I must admit I was expecting some completely unrepresentative, dated film about 'Sloaney Ponies' or perhaps another of those television-style documentaries featuring riotous resort staff in continuous party mode.
Party hard: Chalet Girl shows the decadent side of life on the slopes
There's certainly plenty of fun and frolics in Chalet Girl, which stars Bill Nighy, heartthrob Ed Westwick and newcomer Felicity Jones in the title role - as well as Bill Bailey and Brooke Shields in cameo roles - but it is a harmless feelgood rom-com.
It was filmed in the Tyrol's premier ski destination of St Anton and features some intoxicating views of the awesome Arlberg mountains gleaned from spectacular heli-skiing sequences.
Felicity plays 19-year-old Kim, a lippy but self-determined underdog commoner who nets a suave and sophisticated, already-betrothed aristocrat, in the Notting Hill genre.
In the film, Kim learns to snowboard from scratch - and Felicity had to do the same to play the role. She said: 'I had a three-week crash course just before filming. I love it. I'll be back on the slopes as soon as possible and I'm raring to explore the off-piste.'
