Well lets do a thread recap and see if we can pin point where it started:
Heluva skier starts with a post that I saw anyway as intended sarcastic humour, and even includes some self depreciation.
Barnes follows up with a slam to start his post referring to Heluva post as "drivel"
Unlcle Louie follows Barnes's lead and slams Heluva some more.
Heluva responds with a rather polite restatment of his opinion
Rick jumps in with a STFU post
Heluva and Rick then swap swipes
Barnes then feels the need to pile on Heluva...again
Sharpedges calls Barnes on his attacks
Barnes defends himself...but takes the opportunity to get in another dig at Heluva, this time as "ill thought out"
Barnes then throws another slam...this time suggesting that the site needs a strong noise cancelling filter....(ie delete all comments that he doesnt endorse)
I then point out to Barnes that maybe he should reconsider his tone and referenced other threads.
Barnes then trys to take the moral high ground with a touch of condesention, while throwing in jabs of his own that he was right...as apparently evidenced by "others" agreeing with him...
Skidude asks who were the "others"
Barnes with no response slams Skidude again.
Then to top it off SMJ chimes in...funnily he mentions that he has actually skied with the girl, but chooses not to offer any insigt to the OP and the rest of us. Instead uses the opportunity to slam how people post and suggest it was an us vs. them thread...when in reality NONE of the debate was on content....just personalities and posting styles.
Hmmm...ya, so where does the undertone come from? Up to you to decide I guess.

Bob, Rick, you (Liam) have all given great advice. Others have tried to turn this into a "PSIA sucks" thread, but were quite unsuccessful. Rick is not a PSIA coach, and yet he and Bob pretty much agreed.
There is a lot to learn on Epic: about skiing, and about discussion styles, about learning who to pay attention to and who to ignore. About people with good ideas but poor presentation styles, and vice versa. Kind of a microcosm of real life, but amplified significantly!
SMJ...I just gotta comment. You kill me. For a guy who claims to be so enlightened an open minded, it is clear to me you read ever post with so much personal bias that you have already made you mind up about what was written and how it was written before you even read it. It seems to me that certain posters here no matter what they do or write will always be wrong and rude in your book and others will always be right, and polite.
I think there is word for people like that...
