Yeah, that is why it is more of a personal evolution for me in becoming a better skier. I don't think the Bonafide and Mantra have changed much, if it all. At least not in any sort of advertised way. It is still funny that I love the E88 in 178cm, but the 180cm E98 was much more ski. I would think they would be designed for the same skier in mind. Oh well.
(A momentary Rossi high jack of the Bones thread. Sorry!)
It is a little odd, isn't it? In the end, everyone I know who loves the E88 tend to be 175 lbs or lighter. Almost without exception, those who like the 98 are in the 185+ catagory. Did you try the shorter E98? Interestingly, skier weight is only mentioned by manufactures as pertaining to ski length choice, but not really 'ski-ability'. As I mentioned in another thread, I skied on the Head Rev 105 and found it to be a complete and useless noodle, yet others I know love it. What's the difference? They're all 175 and under, I'm 205. The Blizzard Bodacious skis very 'normally' for a larger skier and is a handful for a lighter one. All in all, it seems Blizzard has really found the sweet spot in 'skiability' for most of it's flipcore line that truly covers a range of skier weights (give equal ability of course).
